Program
POHO2030

A unique programme transforming the area between Havířov, Karviná and Orlová – the post-mining landscape. A unique region where the unstoppable force of nature is gradually healing the scars left by coal mining in previous decades. A landscape that was pushed all the way to the edge – but is now returning to its natural equilibrium. An area that has paid a heavy price for its industry, but is now ready to welcome people who will help re-awaken its potential. A land of a thousand opportunities. An area that for centuries has been exploited to produce coal, but which now offers huge potential as a place to live, work and visit – a place that is proudly showing its new face to the world.

The post-mining landscape, located in the triangle between the cities of Havířov, Karviná and Orlová, will become an appealing destination for relaxation, recreation, tourism and entertainment. It is a region that will attract investors and capital. It will be the location for a wide range of projects that will drive forward a comprehensive process of development – including smart solutions and forward-looking energy solutions.

…all in line with the principle of sustainability.
