This year, you can once again look forward to rides on the excursion train through the mining sidings!
The Mining Express Train through the Ostrava-Karviná Coal Basin will run regularly from June 15 to September 22, 2024.
- On Saturdays, we depart at 12:35 PM from Ostrava Střed station
- On Sundays, we depart at 12:35 PM from Havířov station
During the 2.5-hour ride, you will see sites such as the Michal Mine sorting plant and get close to the Žofie water shaft tower. You will also view the monumental Darkov Mine complex from a unique perspective. The journey includes a visit to the last operational mine shaft in the Czech Republic – the northern section of the ČSM Mine.
