Embracing Discovery
The post-mining landscape offers numerous areas with attractive locations for exceptional development. Part of the land reclamation preparation also involves energy transformation, adhering to sustainability principles.
Opportunity to Flourish
One such project is the former Lazy coal mine, located 15 km away from the city of Orlová. Its transformation will create up to 60 hectares of space for a modern industrial zone utilizing renewable energy sources and other smart solutions.
Revitalize
Another example is the POHO Park – Gabriela mine, aiming to build a dignified center for the post-mining landscape. A 100-hectare industrial zone Nad Barborou is also planned. Additionally, there are smaller projects, such as converting the ČSA mine into a 10-hectare modular hub for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Land of Opportunities
The post-mining landscape is incredibly attractive for investments not only in renewable energy, electromobility, logistics, and industrial zones but also in service development, tourism, and cross-border cooperation with Poland. This potential is underscored by planned cycling and tourist routes and tram lines connecting Ostrava, Karviná, Orlová, and Havířov.
