Jan Karel Industrial Park
The Jan Karel Industrial Park is situated on the site of the former CSA mine in Karviná, spanning approximately 60 hectares. Designated as a strategic brownfield for transformation during preparation of the operation programme of fair transformation, the project's aim is to develop part of this former mine site into a modern industrial park. This park will provide space for the energy, IT, and micro-business support sectors.
The project encompasses the development of comprehensive infrastructure for the industrial park. This includes addressing transport connections by both road and rail. Additionally, a blue-green infrastructure will be designed, featuring functional green spaces and a rainwater management system. The project will also invest in a modular system to support the relocation of small enterprises and the establishment of a shared services center, all backed by the Operation Programme Fair Transformation Fund. The historic part of the site will be evaluated for potential future use.
